Impressive parallel installation with two MultiFlow RAPIDs

Elinacom is a French company specialized in telecom infrastructure, particularly in fiber optic deployment through microduct installation and cable blowing (using air and water).

Very recently, they carried out a parallel relining installation of micro ducts on two separate pipes. The goal was to prepare the network so it can later carry high-capacity fiber optic cables (192 fibers each).

Jonathan Poulain, explains:

The parallel setup enabled us to reduce overall project duration significantly, with an estimated time saving of approximately 30% to 50% depending on the sections. We would definitely use this approach again, as it clearly enhances productivity while ensuring deadlines are met.”

Relining side by side means faster deployment, not waving on quality and keeping deadlines on track, doubling productivity. The team’s strong experience in micro duct and microfiber installation enabled them to quickly take full control of the MultiFlow machines and operate them efficiently from the very beginning. Jonathan explains his choice of machinery:

“We use particularly MultiFlow systems, for micro duct installation, as they represent, in our view, the most reliable solution currently available for this type of work. Their precision, robustness and consistent performance make them a key asset in ensuring both efficiency and high-quality execution on site.”

Relining is a cost-effective method for installing multiple ducts quickly in large-scale networks. It is also highly scalable, as additional cables can be added over time without the need for further digging. Adding an extra machine in this setup truly doubles performance. He adds:

“Using parallel teams allows us to significantly optimize project timelines, especially on long-distance deployments. It also provides greater flexibility in managing on-site constraints and unforeseen challenges.”

Thank you for allowing us to share this impressive relining project. We look forward to seeing more ambitious projects across France and the French overseas territories.
